About Saint Louis

St. Louis first became incorporated as a town in 1809, today the city has a population of about 354,000 inhabitants, 2.8 million people live in the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area.

Some Attractions in St. Louis
The Gateway Arch, a 630-foot (192 m) tall monument to President Thomas Jefferson. The Missouri Botanical Garden and the Citygarden. The Butterfly House, a three-story crystal palace is filled with up to 2,000 butterflies in free flight. Soulard is the city’s oldest neighborhood, the historic streets are lined with red brick townhomes with live music clubs and fancy restaurants. You might also explore the Museum of Transportation, the City Museum and the Missouri History Museum. Cahokia, the site of an ancient Native American city is directly across the Mississippi River.
