The existing Kremlin walls and towers were built at the Moskva River between 1485 to 1495. To the east there is the iconic Saint Basil's Cathedral and the Red Square, the most famous city square in Moscow, Alexander Garden, one of the first public parks in Moscow lies to the west. The kremlin includes four palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. The former residence of Tsars serves since the beginning of the 20th century as the official residence of the President of Russia. . |
