About Brunei |
Brunei, officially the State of Brunei Darussalam, is a small oil-rich sultanate on the northwestern coast of Borneo, the third-largest island in the world located between Indochina and Australia. Brunei is divided by a portion of the Malaysian state of Sarawak. With an area of km² of 5,765 km², Brunei is slightly larger than twice the size of Luxembourg, or slightly smaller than the U.S. state of Delaware. The country has a population of of 412,000 people (in 2014). National capital of Brunei is Bandar Seri Begawan.
