Food offering and incense. The offering of food serves to bring ancestors and other beings in the other world closer to oneself. It serves as a bonding tool to bring both worlds together. ancestor worship is a religious practice based on the belief that deceased family members have a continued existence, take an interest in the affairs of the world, and possess the ability to influence the fortune of the living.
