___ South Africa Map and Venue Guide for the FIFA World Cup 2010

It was the 19th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament took place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa.
It was the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation. The football (soccer) world cup, has been the paramount of a qualification process that began in August 2007 and involved 204 of the 208 FIFA national teams. Of these, 32 teams had qualified for the final tournament.

For the FIFA World Cup five new stadiums have been built in South Africa, in Cape Town, Durban, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth and Nelspruit.
Other South African cities which had hosted World Cup games are:
Bloemfontein Johannesburg Pretoria and Rustenburg.
