Satellite view showing Dallas, third-largest city in the state of Texas in the United States. The city is located in northern Texas along the Trinity River. Dallas was founded in 1841, today the city has a population of about 1.28 million inhabitants, 6.3 million live in the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington metropolitan area. The city's economy is primarily based on banking, commerce, technological industries like telecommunications, and computer. Dallas' cultural attractions: Dallas Museum of Nature & Science, Dallas Museum of Art in the Dallas Arts District as well as the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, and the Dallas Opera.
