In Thailand raw gold and gold jewellery are sold in the weight measurement called baht. Thai raw gold and gold jewellery show two differnet prices per baht. A troy ounce is used in the pricing of precious metals, such as platinum, gold and silver.
In 1897 King Chualalongkorn changed the previous name of the Thai currency from tical to baht. |
