Dragon mosaic at Canton Shrine, Thong Chiang Thang A dragon shows single body parts of various animals, hence is a ‘combination’ of them. According to believe, the dragon can fly in the air, swim in the sea and walk on land. Furthermore, the dragon is the source of the elements - water, wind, earth and fire - and the custodian of the seasons, thus symbolising life and prosperity. Dragons are associated with storm clouds and live giving rain; China Town, Bangkok
